I'm obsessed with how obsessed the internet is with Obsession.
Is Obsession actually good, or is this just the TikTok-ification of modern cinema? Or, worse, am I just old?
Curry Barker's supernatural psychological horror film Obsession (2026) has completely taken over the internet, sparking an endless loop of viral discourse, generational divide, and toxic character defenses. And while I recognize Inde Navarrrette's brilliant performance and Barker's incredibly effective direction ... I just can't get over how weak the screenplay is, or how shallow the characters are.
And yeah, this cognitive dissonance -- stellar craft on top of second-rate writing -- is making me lose my goddamn mind.
